About PureYellow

PureYellow was born out of a senior project for the high school Web site Yellow writes for. In an attempt to share her passion for the Asian entertainment circle, Yellow begins her journey as a blogger, using PureYellow as her platform for communicating and sharing her views to the world.

PureYellow best describes Yellow’s personality. Born as an ABC, Yellow has always preferred Asian entertainment over the American pop-culture. An interest first introduced to her by her parents sprouted into a passion that Yellow cannot forget and deviate from. Yellow’s colored-skin and spirituality can be best incorporated into “PureYellow.” (Excuse the racism. It is not intended to put anyone down or suggest/arouse any negative responses.).

PureYellow is projected to be active through the end of May 2010; continuation will depend on both PureYellow’s success/popularity as well as Yellow’s experiences with blogging.

About Yellow

Yellow enjoys watching Taiwanese dramas and listening to Asian music. Although the majority of her friends realizes her unique taste in media, most do not know about the content or the reason of Yellow’s preference. PureYellow provides the adequate medium through which Yellow can express her passion. While not juggling her time between homework and blogging, Yellow can be found on YouTube searching up origami projects and new songs from her favorite artists (S.H.E., JJ Lin, SS501 to name a few).

By the way, she just made a formspring for anyone who’s interested in…stalking her for now 😉

Descriptions of blog posts

Yellow will be writing analytical posts about any recent addictions she has come across. Thus, for drama series, blog posts will mainly focus on subjects such as character analysis, character development, comparison to related drama series (if any apply), commentary on music/setting/random scenes and pictures, and overall satisfaction towards the drama and the actors/actresses. Post about music will most likely include excessive flattery over an artist’s talent, the overall feel Yellow experiences as a listener (hopefully this is something many readers will be able to relate to), and comparisons to other related songs if applicable. Chinese (simplified) lyrics and a crude English translation will be provided for the Mandarin songs; all will have a link to the MV of the song.

  1. Wow! Thanks for adding me to your blogroll. I’m so motivated to try harder and make my own blog as nice as possible right now.Yay! By the way, I adore your writing skills! A million thanks again! 🙂

  2. You’re amazing!!! This blog is brilliant, all the detailed reviews and everything in english. I grew up in Singapore where we’ve got both mainstream english and asian music to fan over lol, but that’s really cool with you living in the US right? and still listening to these beautiful asian songs! I can’t understand chinese sadly, but the asian industry has got the most beautiful songs ever, and they’re not just about clubbing.
Hehe, as for the dramas, god they’re addictive.=) Hope you keep writing reviews, especially for Down With Love!=)

    • Thank you for reading! I agree, Asian music has some of the best music and meaningful lyrics out there. It’s so much more clean and emotional than some of the mainstream American music.

Rest assured, I will keep posting drama reviews, but I don’t have the kind of time atm. Bear with me, they’ll start popping up come summer, if all goes well~
